Storm Damage – Tucson Home

Storm damage struck this Tucson home when a section of roof was torn away during an intense thunderstorm which carried very high wind gusts. Rainwater was allowed to enter the interior of the structure and accumulate on top of the ceiling drywall. The before photo shows the water soaked ceiling drywall that would need to be attended to. There were several of these sections throughout the house. The homeowner reached out for professional help. Our industry certified technicians would first provide the homeowners and their insurance company a thorough damage assessment and a plan for restoration. We would begin by placing tarps on the roof to prevent any further rainwater from entering the interior of the house. Any building materials that could not be restored would be torn down and disposed of properly. The water that was standing on the floors of the house would be suctioned up, and commercial air movers and dehumidifiers would be set in place to aid in the drying process. Once all the affected areas had been dried the drywall that had been removed would be replaced.
